How do I open a secure message?

When you open a secure message, you'll be asked to verify it's you. If you already have an account, you'll simply sign in. If not, the sender chose how you'll verify — answer a question, get a code by phone, or create a free account. Find the screen you see below and click it for step-by-step help.

Steps to open a secure message

  1. Go to your email inbox (Outlook, Gmail, etc.).
  2. Find the Send It Secure notification.
  3. Click View Message.
  4. You'll be taken to the Send It Secure web portal.
  5. Verify it's you using the method you see above, and your message opens.
