Secure Website Forms & File Uploads, Straight to Your Secure Inbox | Send It Secure

Secure forms & file uploads

Website forms to your secure inbox

Collect patient and client information on your website and get it delivered encrypted, straight to your secure inbox — forms, file uploads, and all.

Watch the demo

In this demo, a new patient fills out an intake form on a practice's website and uploads an insurance card and prior x-rays. The submission goes through the Send It Secure SMTP Service and lands in the front desk's secure inbox — not a regular one. The same flow works for any sensitive submission — a financial firm collecting tax documents and account applications, a law office taking client intake and case files, or any business accepting signed agreements and ID uploads online.

Why not just a regular contact form? Most website forms email submissions in plain text — so names, insurance IDs, and uploaded files travel and sit in an ordinary inbox, unprotected. Send It Secure encrypts the whole submission and delivers it to a secure inbox instead.

What you'll see

  • A website intake form with file uploads — insurance cards, x-rays, documents.
  • No XML or extra code — your form handler sends each submission through standard SMTP (smtp.protectedtrust.com).
  • Fields and files, handled cleanly — form fields go in the encrypted message body, and uploaded files are sent as attachments.
  • Your team gets a notification — a new-message alert, and they sign in on your custom login page.
  • The full submission in the secure inbox — every uploaded file under Attachments.
  • A full Proof of Delivery log — on the sending account, time-stamped and audit-ready.
Works with any website form that can send email by SMTP. Messages can be up to 50 MB.

What you can collect

Anything your clients would otherwise email you in the open — now encrypted on the way in:

  • Dental & medical — new-patient intake, insurance cards, x-rays and imaging, referral forms, consent and HIPAA authorization forms.
  • Financial — onboarding applications, tax documents, statements, and signed agreements.
  • Legal — client intake, case documents, and confidential questionnaires.
  • Any office — contact forms, document requests, and job applications with resume uploads.

Works with your form builder

If your website form can send through a custom SMTP server, it works — no special plugin or custom integration required. That includes popular WordPress form tools such as Gravity Forms, WPForms, Formidable Forms, and Contact Form 7 (with an SMTP mailer), plus custom forms that send mail by SMTP. You simply point your form's mail settings at smtp.protectedtrust.com using your account's Access ID and Access Key.

Built for dental, medical, financial, and legal practices that collect sensitive information online.

Common questions

Is it HIPAA compliant?
Yes. Submissions are encrypted in transit and at rest, and we sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with every client.

Do I need a developer?
Usually not. If your form builder has SMTP settings, it's a few fields — host, port, and your Access ID/Key. No XML or custom code.

How large can uploads be?
Each submission (fields plus attachments) can be up to 50 MB — plenty for insurance cards, documents, and most imaging.

Where do submissions go?
Into your Send It Secure secure inbox, with every uploaded file under Attachments — and a full Proof of Delivery log on the sending account.
