Dexis Integration Setup

With Send It Secure, you can:
  • Integrate directly with Dexis, to securely send referrals and x-rays to other healthcare providers directly from Dexis.
  • Send x-rays, images, bitewing series, and much more directly from Dexis to patients, colleagues, and insurance carriers.
  • Secure all communications from Microsoft Outlook (see Integrate with Outlook for Windows)
  • Easily print to PDF from any Windows application

Steps to setup Send It Secure with Dexis

  1. Open a web browser
  2. Navigate to https://www.senditsecure.com/downloads
  3. On the Send It Secure Downloads page, click the Download Send It Secure for Windows button

  4. Locate the downloaded ProtectedTrust.exe installer on your computer
  5. Right-click on the ProtectedTrust.exe install file and select run as administrator
  6. On the first screen of the installer (see screenshot below), there is an important checkbox at the bottom, labeled, Make Protected Trust my default mail client. It is important that you choose the correct option.
    1. If you would like to send messages directly from Dexis - Check the box to Make Protected Trust my default mail client
    2. If you prefer to use the desktop version of Outlook, DO NOT check the box to Make Protected Trust my default mail client 

  7. Click Install Now
  8. After the Protected Trust installation is complete, click OK
    9. NOTE: The Send It Secure installation is now complete and you are ready to start sending secure email with Dexis.
  9. You are now ready to share content from Dexis, simply use the Dexis interface to securely email the data.
    From Dexis select the Export icon, click on e-mail, compose and send the message.
