Why is my recipient being prompted for a username and password?
Have you ever wondered why some recipients of secure messages are prompted to log in using a username and password, but other recipients are not?
If the recipient of a secure message is required to authenticate with a username and password, this means they already have their own Send It Secure account. The user might have a free Send It Secure account or the user might be a part of a different company with a business account. Even though you are not prompted to enter an authentication method when sending to the recipient, you can rest assured that the message is still secured and the user will need to authenticate in order to view the message. Instead of using your chosen authentication method, the user will use their own Send It Secure credentials to authenticate.
