Understanding Retention Periods for Secure Messages
To help you manage your secure communications effectively, it's important to understand how long your secure messages and related data are stored. This article explains what a retention period is, how it's determined, and what it means for your access to secure messages and compliance logs.
What is a Retention Period?
The retention period refers to the length of time a secure message remains stored and accessible to you after it has been sent. In addition to the message itself, this period also covers the duration for which compliance logs related to the message are retained.
How is the Retention Period Determined?
The retention period is based on the subscription plan associated with your account. Depending on your subscription features, secure messages and their compliance logs are typically available for up to 7 or 10 years.
⚠️ Important: Messages and compliance logs are only retained as long as your subscription remains active. If your subscription expires or is canceled, access to stored messages and logs may be affected.
