Dolphin Integration — which setup do I need?
Dolphin comes in two products, and they connect to Send It Secure in different ways. Pick the one you use:
Sends via SMTP
Dolphin Management (version 8)
Set up inside Dolphin: you enter the Send It Secure SMTP settings (Tools > SMS/Email Manager > Email Options) and choose verification policies by recipient type.

Sends via the Send It Secure add-in or Windows Client
Dolphin Imaging
No SMTP setup inside the product — Dolphin Imaging sends through your Windows default mail client. To send securely, that default needs to be a Send It Secure path: either Outlook with the Send It Secure Outlook add-in, or the Send It Secure Windows Client.
