Ortho2 Edge Integration

To send messages using Send It Secure from Ortho2 Edge, you must install Send It Secure for Windows, which includes the Outlook Add-in. Ortho2 Edge only supports sending email through the Outlook Desktop App API, so it integrates well with the Send It Secure Outlook Add-in.

Steps to Integrate with Ortho2 Edge

Ortho2 Edge sends messages through the Microsoft Outlook Desktop App API. Ortho2 Edge does not directly link to the Windows default mail client and can not send through SMTP. This makes the Send It Secure Outlook Add-in a good fit.
  1. Go to https://www.senditsecure.com/downloads and click on Download Send It Secure for Windows 
  2. Right-click on the ProtectedTrust.exe install file and select run as administrator 

    *Note: Do not select "Make Protected Trust my default mail client" since Ortho2 Edge utilizes Outlook to send mail

  3. Click Install Now
  4. After the Protected Trust installation is complete, click OK 

  5. When you send an email from Ortho2 Edge an Outlook compose message will display, which will now have a Message Protected lock icon

  6. Compose your email

  7. Confirm the Message Protected icon is locked and click Send

  8. The message will now be sent via Send It Secure
